Langkawi ✈

Friday, February 28, 2020

IMHO, I wouldn't even think of putting Langkawi on my to-go list. The things to do and places of interest are very limited here but what adds the fun during my recent trip there is the company! This is the first time that I get to travel together with my big family of four generations. That itself screams huru-hara cos everyone has different wants and needs, on top of that we also have three hyper active toddlers who are always on the move. But we had fun and most importantly, everyone gets home safely :D

Funny story here: We thought we had plenty of time before boarding, so we took a skyride from T1 to the Butterfly Park located at T3. Mini, who is so into butterflies nowadays, enjoyed her time here so much that we lose track of time. The first and hopefully the last time I get to hear my name being announced for last call lol

Mini's first flight with her own seat. We got her some new toys to keep her entertained.

Obviously not happy about it, this girl. She latched on me the moment the flight takes off and slept throughout the entire journey. Seriously what do I do without you, boobies??!

Me attempting to take an insta-worthy shot here but Mini wasn't cooperating cos she terrified of the plane -_-

We spent two nights here at Ocean Residence. Loving the swimming pool right outside our room! See the suite at the back? That's where the rest of family are at.

#ootd for Day 2. Island hopping day!

Another reason for making this trip happen is to celebrate my darling grandmother's 76th birthday.

Someone's not enjoying the boat ride.

We visited three different islands, which honestly wasn't that great. The kids had so much fun at the beach and that's all that matter for us.

It's been so long since we all sat and enjoy a good meal together. So thankful for moments like this.

Four-generation family. I love this picture so much, but you spoil lah Mini.

We surprised Nenek with a birthday cake, more good food and also recited some prayers. Recently there's been so many news on celebrities' sudden death, which serves as a reminder for me to always value the time with the people who matter most in this whole wide world - family.  Deep down, I'm sure we all would love to have Atok around, enjoying this trip with us. But true what people say, those we love don’t go away. They walk beside us every day, unseen and unheard, but always near. Still loved, still missed. Forever, you are in my heart and prayers, Atok.

Ohana means family, family means nobody gets left behind or forgotten.

xoxo, N
