So we turned four years today! 

Some days it feels like we've been married for decades, but most days this feels like it was just yesterday.  

Wow.

Danna and I had a simple celebration just the two of us, which is all I need really.  Having a kid really makes it hard for us to spend some time together cos besides work, it's that guilt of having fun without our Mini. lol. We paid ASAP & CO a visit, absolutely loving everything about that place. Definitely coming back for more couple time here.

Here's to 4ever & happily ever after dear Danna. Thank you for being my number one cheerleader and supporting me in everything I do. I'm forever so thankful to have you in my life. May He continue to bless our marriage and strengthen our Iman too. I love you, so much!

Mini's 3rd Birthday Party

Super belated post here but it's better late than neverrrrrrr!

Mini has been bugging me for a birthday party since the day she learns what a birthday party is and how she gets to do all the things she absolutely love. Like blowing the candle, having cakes and sweets and most importantly...receiving presents! (Thanks to the Cocomelon birthday video she loves sooo much!) The theme was decided by her since the start of the year(ok more like ME who decided on the theme and she just said yes to it. Good girl :p) but as you know, Covid-19 happened and just like our all travel plans for this year (UGHHH!!), the dream party is totally ruin T_T

 On the bright side, it's a good thing Mini's birthday does not fall during the CB period, so at least we can still have a celebration at home and invite a few of our loved ones over!

Aiyoh these three look exactly like their fathers ok! 100% CTRL C CTRL Z one! All looking like grumpy cats here but trust me when I say this is the BEST shot out of the 30298 ones we took of them. Pretty sure all moms can relate to this, lol. May the three of you grow up to be just as close as your mamas.

Dear Lil One,

Today I found out that I'm carrying you inside me!!

Mini’s Milestone : 34 Months

Remember when this used to be a monthly update thing? I wonder where I find the time to do all that considering how clingy Mini used to be but I'm so glad I did. Some nights when Mini goes to sleep and I feel like I miss her so much, (even tho she's right next to me)  I would go back to these entries and feel like I'm relieving those moments once more. Yes, now that she's a big girl, I am the clingy one :p

So I have only one thing to update and the reason for me sharing it here is because it's kind of a big deal for both Mini and me. It's about a journey that started the day I held Mini in my arms for the first time ever and that journey has now ended...

Happy Birthday, Danna!

Unlike me, Danna's not the one who enjoys celebrating his own birthday. Not even a birthday gift. So no pressure for me to plan anything big for him cracking my head thinking what to get him #saveduitsaye #pressuresonhimforMYbirthday :p But of course being the awesome wife that I am, the day can't go by without me doing nothing. Since Danna was busy the whole week with preparations for the upcoming election, we decided to stay home and invite both our families over. I got a cute DIY cakelet from Butter Studio which is actually for Mini.

 I mean, we all know how excited kids get around a birthday cake, birthday songs and especially candles, right?

 The DIY Cakelet kit comes with a petit cake, two piping nozzles with three colourful piping cream, decorative edible toppings and an instruction card. Love it!

So there it is, a simple celebration for a very simple man.

Happy birthday my dear Imam, best friend and hubBae. I love you so very much and I can't thank Him enough for sending you in my life. You're a great partner and a lovely father, and I pray that you will always be kept safe and blessed, and we will be together forever in this life and Hereafter. ♥️

CovEid Raya

This year's Syawal (and not forgetting Ramadhan!) is definitely something all of us will never forget. As an introvert (who can be an omnivert at best), I am rejoicing the social life alteration and 100% loving the quiet celebration at home. Pretty sure my bank account feels the same way too :p 

 Spending more time at home with my family is the best part of this CB period, even though things can turn into a madhouse with Mini clinging around me 24/7 lol.  The best part is for the first time in my life I get to perform all the sunnah prayers during the blessed Ramadhan with my favourite Imam aka Danna is the one who leads every prayers. How I wish every Ramadhan is like this... ♥

Anyhoots, Salam Lebaran from my family to yours! Stay home, stay safe guys.

ps: Can I just say that I'm wearing the same outfit for my first Syawal with Danna back in 2017 (blogged here) and after three years I can FINALLY fit back into this small size so YAYYYYY

Kuala Loco

Seems like I won't be travelling anytime soon, so here's another late travel blog post!

Staycay Vacay

My BFFs and I have been planning for a vacation for the longest time. Last we had one together was six years ago, to Boracay! (blogged, here) This time round we have our kids with us so we're all very excited cos travelling with children, we know for sure it's no leisure. More like we're asking for trouble hahaha. So last Dec, my two girls applied for leave and we decided to travel during the March holiday.

We had a bit of a ding-dong on the destination before we all agree that we shouldn't be too ambitious and fly with four kiddos. Just imagining them running around the airport is enough to exhaust me, then what if they can't keep still inside the plane? Oh the horror! In the end, we decided on Desaru. YAY!

Every other week, we reminded each other of the days countdown. Had our private car booked and the apartment too, which was so spacious and lovely and a stone throw away from the beach. We told the kids we're going for a holiday, and Mini has been asking for 'hotel' with Aufa and Khayla ever since.

But then, bak kata pepatah, kita merancang Tuhan menentukan. Four days before our departure,  all plans were called off cos my leave approval for overseas travel was rescinded. The same day, Malaysia announced its Movement Control Order. 

To say that we were upset is an understatement. T_T

So we did the next best thing we could do....

Blessed and thankful. 365 more days to the big three-ohhh!

Langkawi ✈

IMHO, I wouldn't even think of putting Langkawi on my to-go list. The things to do and places of interest are very limited here but what adds the fun during my recent trip there is the company! This is the first time that I get to travel together with my big family of four generations. That itself screams huru-hara cos everyone has different wants and needs, on top of that we also have three hyper active toddlers who are always on the move. But we had fun and most importantly, everyone gets home safely :D

Mini goes to school

Oh what an interesting week it has been!

Mini started N1 last Monday. Both Danna and I are so very proud of her ♥

She has been talking about going to school since last October when we had the centre visit so obviously this day is something that all of us are looking forward to. I chose not to take any leave since parents aren't allowed to go inside the school anyway (also because I'm pretty sure I'll be THAT extra parent who will cry at the door and take 3964237 videos) so Danna was the one who took care of everything. As expected, Mini was so excited to go to school that she didn't even cry when Danna dropped her off. In fact, she didn't even care or even bother to turn and say goodbye.

Oh well, I take that as a good thing cos now I have something else to look forward to. And that is all the me-time I am going to have during the school holidays while Mini is in school MUAHAHAHA. I have a lot of things I want to do in mind but the main thing I want to do most is having more dates with the Danna! #amekchance. Jalan-jalan cari makan at JB sounds like a good plan, right B? :p
