Finally I have some time to update this space!

So many things I wanna write about here but lets start with our trip to Penang during the recent September holidays. Danna and I were thinking of going to KL at first, but we later plan for that to happen in December instead with Danna's colleague(his boss, actually) and his family. For this Penang trip, we also have another one of Danna's colleague and his lil family with us. The more the merrier!

Accommodation wise, we had Hard Rock Cafe in mind (we loveeee the swimming pool!) but looking at its location, we agree that it is so unnecessary to spend so much on Grab every day just to get to the town area, where we want to spend most of our time at. So we chose The Wembleys, which is conveniently just opposite a shopping mall.

As always, Mini's the happiest one when she finds herself in a hotel room. Especially when this one comes with a bathtub.

As you already know, Penang is known for its glorious food. So our itinerary here all day everyday is all about eat, eat and eat some more. We did a lot of research on must-go places to dine in and for me, the one I was most excited to go to is..

If you don't already know, I am a freak when it comes to anything Harry Potter.

Sorry baby, see no taste okayyy.

We ended up spending more time taking pictures with the props, no surprise there :p

Day Two : Explore Ipoh!

Kebulor after our two hours ride. Food here was two thumbs up!

We didn't spend a lot of time here, just walking around and taking 3245 pictures along the way.

The next morning, we had prata, or canai as the locals call it here, at the famous Gemas Road. I've heard so much about how good their roti canai is. But no one told me that I will be eating under the scorching sun next to the roadside.

Yes, very kecoh this prata. So sedap we ordered another plate.

Visited the late P.Ramlee's gallery and the house where he was born in. I grew up listening to all his songs and watching his movies so coming here made me feel really nostalgic. Too bad the rest of the gang are no fan of him so it was just me walking around the gallery while they wait for me outside.

Oh hi there cutie patootie.

Of cos, a visit to Penang is not complete without trying their famous chendol.

Mummy duty. Anytime, anywhere.

The Chew Jetty. Great place to get cheap souvenirs.

Gorgeous view from The Top.

We also tried the Rainbow Skywalk! It's a transparent glass ledge jutting out from the side of the building’s rooftop, where you can walk out over the city and look down at the streets of George Town quite literally beneath your feet. I'm definitely not afraid of heights so this excites me, but couldn't say the same for my poor Danna and Mini.

Day Four:Up the Penang Hill we go!

We got the fast lane tickets for funicular train.

I don't think there's much to see and do up here, we were almost about to leave until we heard about this cafe. We had to take a buggy to get here or we cal walk which will take more than an hour. Surprisingly, they serve really nice drinks and cakes.

& that's it for our Penang trip! Did we enjoy ourselves here? Yes, very much! Will probably return here in a year or two to explore more makan places and maybe stay at HRC.

Mini turns two the day after we return home so that means that this was her last day of flying as an infant. No more free seats :')

We just got back from Langkawi + KL, more on that in the next post.

xoxo, N
