Lake Tekapo - Of Lupins & Love!

Saturday, June 3, 2017

If you've read my Planning My Kiwimoon post, you'd remember me sharing the different so-called phases my honeymoon was broken into. If you haven't, here's a timeline to aid your understanding.

Part One
The Survivor cum Fear Factor cum Amazing Race Experience

Part Two
The Photoshoot!

I still have a long way to go before I blog about Part Three :p

So basically my previous entry marks the end of the first phase of my honeymoon. The next part of it is something I've been looking forward to and it starts with us returning to Christchurch to fetch....

..our photographer - abg Fiq! Poor guy couldn't stand the cold at all with his gloves segala hahaha

Danna came across someone's sharing on FB about her NZ road trip and suggested using a longer route from Christchurch to Lake Tekapo just to see the Rakaia Gorge Walkway. Such a lovely landscape I wished we had more time to explore around. You can find out more about the place here.

Jump shot!

We dropped by for late lunch at a quaint cafe and Fiq started working his camera magic right away.

Why hello there Lake Tekapo!

For our next two nights here our choice of stay is glamping! If that's unheard of for you, basically it's just like camping, just a lil bit more luxurious. (but no wifi! sucks...) Here's how it looks like inside.

We wasted no time and get ready for our first photo shoot. So bummed that I've turned 1000 shades darker no thanks to the Temple Basin Track we conquered the previous day :(

A quintessential part of the Lake Tekapo landscape - lupins! LOVE THEM!

The pro doing his thang. Someone commented that my dress matched the lupins. So true!

Oh and look who we bumped into. It's a small world after all~
