Last bits of 2015

How do you like my new skin?  ^^

Me? I SUPER LOVE IT!!! hehehe #praisingmyownwork

Anyways, it's the last few hours of the year and unlike previous years, I choose to stay away from the crowd this time round. I have a few friends asking me out to watch the what-seems-like-ten-seconds-only-fireworks at midnight later but man...gone were the days where I have the energy to stay up till the wee hours of the morning, you know? Nowadays I start to yawn non-stop at eight and my eyes would auto shut down by ten p.m. -_-

Currently with the kareshi in his office. Look here's a quick snap from photo booth!

He's reading drafts from this blog from wayyy back in 2008 and couldn't stop commenting how skinny I used to be. Those times when my jawline was visible and double chin + flabby arms don't exist.

T_T

So my first 2016 resolution? Got to get that weight back.

oh yes, that was the same resolution since two years back..... lol

Twenty Fifteen - In a Nutshell

Monday, December 28, 2015

I can't believe the year is almost coming to an end. Ahhh seems like it was only yesterday that I posted about my to-do list for 2014 and later the same year, the Best of 2014. This year is not exactly the best one I guess but it has been exciting nevertheless. (My two years of being single was the best, yay to freedom and zero responsibilities!!) 2015 is all about saving, less travelling (sigh x infinity...) and more saving! A couple of my closed ones got engaged/married/gave birth at an alarming fast rate to a point it scares me a little. :/

Anyway,  here's my twenty fifteen in a nutshell for you.

Jan : Got engaged
Jan : Booked wedding bridal - Ishq by Nora Zee
Feb : My bestfriend Ira got engaged
Feb : Watched Anuar Zain live
Feb : Bought two years gym membership with turns out to be a complete waste of my $$ -_-
March : Turned 24! Celebrated my first birthday with kareshi. One of the best nights with him :D
March : Booked wedding deco - Comel Molek
March : Watch One Direction live! Bought tickets on the morning of the show
April : Booked wedding caterer - Puteri Wedding Services
May : Bestfriend Lysa got engaged
May : Turi Beach Resort with my three big sisters
May : Selected out flat. Yay!
May : Started hot Yoga. The transformation is amazing. You should give it a try!
June : Phuket with Tina!
June : Kareshi turned 28. Cooked for him his favourite sambal and black pepper prawns
July : Super busy with work. Blogged only twice this month - that explains
July : Got obsessed with my home. Keep wanting to view it lol
August : Signed Agreement of Lease for our future abode
August : Happiest 5K run
September : Booked wedding cake - Ola Lola
October : Chiang Mai for work
November : Stayed at KSL for Wan's birthday surprise
December : Staycay at Hotel Jen OrchardGetaway for Tina's birthday surprise
December : Jb every single Saturday!

So yeah most of the things you see are about the kareshi, our wedding and future home. Pretty much how it will be for next year as well. Worry, a bit but looking forward to it most definitely.

When In Chiang Mai...

Wednesday, December 23, 2015

As mentioned in some post back, I was in Chiang Mai for a school culture immersion trip. I had a ball of a time but I was there for work so obviously it wan't as enjoyable as if I were there for a holiday with my loved ones. I have tons of pictures from the four days trip so today, I'm gonna share two interesting places I enjoyed the most and hope to visit again if I ever come back someday.

Oh btw, you'll find pictures of people with cartoon over their face. They're my students whose identity I don't wish to reveal on this blog:)

Countdown #11

Saturday, December 19, 2015

Not much progress for our wedding ever since we settled our wedding cake two months back. Not sure if I'm being a huge procrastinator or it simply hasn't sunk in yet that I'm getting married. One thing for sure, there are others who are more kiasu and excited than I am - my parents for example. They've already settled dad and bro's outfits few days back and here I am, still couldn't decide on the colours of my outfits T_T

Meanwhile, this date means.....

ahhhh is this for real?
*butterflies in my mind*

Pretty sure most of you've seen the Instagram Husband video on Facebook by now, no? Hey guess who can relate 200% to it? LOL. Lucky for me, my poor Instagram Boyfriend is one awesome photographer, teehee.

This date, exactly two years ago I was in......

Hong Kong! + Macau !!!

Can't believe it has been two years! All four of us were single at that point of time and today, one is now married while two are engaged. Ahh time sure flies fast doesn't it? Who knows another two years down the road we will be looking back at this date and we're all mummies already? Oh tak eh. teehee. Oh I also can't believe it actually took me two long years to finally complete the video for this trip. Well you know since I'm having my break now and I don't get to travel this month *cries blood*, what else can I spend all my time on right...

I miss you Hong Kong!!!! I'll come back for sure.

Ridhwan's Birthday Surprise

Ridhwan Iskandar's Birthday Surprise!
A trip back to where my girls Ira Hazirah, AyuLysa Love & Fina first met 11 years ago - Dunearn Sec! Followed by a surprise birthday celebration for Ridhwan Iskandar in JB. xx
Posted by Nyna Sakina on Tuesday, December 1, 2015

So right after heading down to our alma mater, we met up with the guys for our stay at Jb! Made an impromptu decision to spend a night at KSL and we're so loving the apartment. So spacious and clean! We had a simple surprise for Wan wearing our Liverpool jerseys just to annoy the birthday boy, who is a Chealsea fan btw, when the clock strikes midnight and another one the next day at Tony Roma's. Too lazy to sort out the 4830284 pictures so, here's a video! Enjoy!

Best Friends Forever

Saturday, December 5, 2015

Some weeks back, my girls and I paid a visit to our....

... alma mater!

So Dunearn opened its gates to the public recently for a homecoming as it will be going through redevelopment at the end of the year. Quite honestly we were only there for the food - the famous black pepper chicken rice! *salivates*

So sad our dear Hariz couldn't join us. Can't believe we first met each other here 11 years ago?!

The room that we've been in far too many times due to daily late coming, short skirts, coloured hair and refusal to do home works. All except for Ira, the perfect angel, the teacher's pet and the school leader who just happens to be in this CMI students clique hahah.

Meet Mr Rani, our PE teacher. Believe it or not we've never pass our 2.4km run during our entire four years in school. EVER. Except Ira, of cos.

The two teachers I will never ever forget. My Malay teacher who helped me get straight As for my favouite subject. The other one is my Math teacher who made me hate my least favourite subject more than I already have. I remember crying SO BAD when I was first sent to detention by him cos he literally screamed in my face and when he saw my quivering lips he gave me a death stare with his huge eyeballs almost popping out.

What a monster....but serve me right for breaking the school rule in the first place lol.

My always. To many more wonderful years and memories, my best friends forever.

Last Friday Night....

Friday, November 27, 2015

My look for this year's dinner and dance! I've always been the no makeup kind of girl, so you can imagine how shocked I was when I looked at my own reflection after the one hour wait. One hand was touching my face (nose, to be exact. like how can it suddenly look so sharp lol) just to make sure it's really me and the other was picking up my jaw that has dropped on the floor. Hehe.

I love it so much!!!!!!! (hence the endless selfies and videos on my Snapchat sorry not sorry friends)

Just wanna let you guys know, if you're looking for someone to doll you up for any event at a pretty reasonable price, look up for @izzahhafiyah on Instagram. She's such a sweet person who does her work real quick and really easy to get along with too. Oh she does makeup for Putih Bridal and she has a superbly cute daughter so go stalk follow her. :p

Countdown!

Thursday, November 19, 2015

Past few days have been exciting yet hectic at work, which explains the lack of updates. Seriously guys I've a lot to share but I'm so busy working all day err day. Currently I'm in the computer lab watching my kiddos watching Inside Out. Nothing for them to do anyway cos it's the last day of the last week of the last term for year 2015!!

Ahh is that freedom I'm smelling? I've been looking forward to this day since day one of school term in Jan lol

This date is also another day that I am going to start a new countdown.

Yay!! This date exactly one more year to go!!

Cool as a Cucumber

Saturday, October 31, 2015

I had a mini heart attack experience yesterday, you guys.

So just like any other typical weekday, I woke up early in the morning and cleaned the house. I was in a good mood so I did the laundry as well. Perks of working in the p.m. session! Got ready for work after breakfast which usually takes no lesser than one hour. Hehe. Last thing I did after sashaying in front of my full length mirror & feeling satisfied with what I see, was to get my engagement ring out from the box.

But yesterday, it was not there. My heart froze for a sec.

Ran to the kitchen and then to the toilets, searched everywhere for my precious bling-bling. I was literally shouting for it okay. Thank God I was alone at home, or else my mom would have used her favorite line on me. You see, my brother and I, we're always losing/forgetting our stuff and each time mom finds out she'd go...

"Ah Korang memang! Nasib baik * korang lekat kat badan kalau tak hilang jugak!!"

She'd say that standard line ala Bonda Bedah with hands on the hips like that lol

Okay back to the story!

Seriously, the thought of losing my ring made my blood run cold. *cries* What should I do? Should I tell the kareshi? What if he gets mad at me? Omg the thought of that is 100x scarier than losing the ring *shivers*

Grabbed my phone and texted him anyway. Added a few crying emojis to gain sympathy haha

I was frantically looking at every corner of the living room when I heard a message notification from kareshi. (I have a special ringtone set for his messages. In fact I have different ringtones for messages from different groups of people. hehe) I had to calm myself  down for a few secs before gathering my guts to check his reply.

Honestly I was expecting red angry emojis but the only ones I saw was the smiley with tear on its forehead. T_T

To cut the long story short, after a good thirty minutes search which resulted in cold sweats and teary eyes, I found it!! Right at the back of its box. -_- Cracked my brain so hard trying to remember the last time I saw it, messed up my eyeliner and mascara all for nothing! Bet my ring would be laughing at me if it could. It must have enjoyed the morning drama huh.

Broke the news to the kareshi and still, cool as before. Even added a smiley emoji with sunglasses.

"Kalau betul2 hilang, how?" I asked.

"It's okay if you lose the ring, at least you don't lose me. I love you baby!" - what I expect him to answer me.

What he actually answered me - "Beli baru *smiley with teeth*"

-_______-

So there you have it, story of Miss kancheong spider & Mr cool cucumber. Living proof that opposite attracts, no?

Cats' Safari

I heard about a newly opened cat therapy centre so obviously it is a major sin for a crazy cat lady like me not to give it a visit! Dragged my partner in crime Tina who is just as crazy about cats as me.

Prince Charming

Wednesday, October 21, 2015

This date, at about the same time last year, kareshi asked me the question. & quite obviously, I said yes!

A picture that was taken on that day - the 4kg skinnier me and the shycat him hehe. Can't believe it has been a year! It's even harder to believe all the things that happened within the past 365 days, getting our house got to be at the top of the list!

Children's Day

Friday, October 9, 2015

So we celebrated Children's Day yesterday. There's a concert followed by a sports carnival which turned the entire school into a playground. It was so noisy trust me I can't even hear myself think. Kids everywhere were yelling, squealing, running, laughing some, even crying. Gosh. My poor eardrums. I just can't stand loud, rowdy kids la! The whole day yesterday made me hate kids more than I already do. Sorry future mini-me(s) lol

Anyways, as always every level teachers were expected to come up with a performance for the concert. Dancing, acting, basically anything just to make a fool of ourselves in front of the kids. So what my level teachers did was we came up with a music video, edited by yours truly! I wish I can post it here but I guess due to privacy issue I shall not.

I am, however, gonna share something interesting that I recently found that made me cringed SO HARD my face turned inside out hahaha

Best weekend ever!

Saturday, October 3, 2015

Kareshi and I, we never had a chance to spend our weekends together no thanks to his photography assignments. However last week we managed to make use of Friday + the whole weekends, together :D It's our first time so of course such happy (and rare) things must be shared on this blog hahaha

Wedding Cake - Check!

Friday, October 2, 2015

Finally an update on the big day!

Wedding cake is not something I'm really particular about. Once I even told kareshi that perhaps we can use a dummy wedding cake instead of a real one. Faux and fabulous ya'll! (and cost-effective too!). Or we can get a macaron tower instead. Obviously my boo rolled his eyes at my former suggestion & agreed to the latter.

& since then we had only one vendor in mind. The same one who set up my cousin's wedding cake, or should I say, wedding macaron tower. So I dropped a PM to this cousin of mine and she kindly helped to check out with the vendor. One of the duo running the business happens to be her sister-in-law.

At the very same time, I received a random message from kareshi asking if we should get in touch with the vendor. Told him that I already did and am waiting for their email and that maybe he should just directly ask the other half of the duo, whom he knows anw. And so he did.

Funny thing is, later the person told kareshi that she can only revert by the next morning cos there's another customer on the same date but have yet to confirm time and location. It didn't occur to me that 'the other customer' is me. LOL.

Anywayssssss, everything got cleared up the next day so wedding cake -Booked!!

Okay now for some works done by this awesome duo.

Guess whose wedding?!

365 Days with You

Friday, September 18, 2015

“I didn't fall in love with you.

I walked into love with you,
with my eyes wide open,
choosing to take every step along the way.

I do believe in fate and destiny,
but I also believe we are only fated to do the things that we'd choose anyway.

And I'd choose you;
in a hundred lifetimes, in a hundred worlds, in any version of reality,
I'd find you
and I'd choose you”

Happiest 5K!

Sunday, September 13, 2015

My two kakaks & I signed up for the Color Run last month for the sake of fun. I mean, having colored cornstarch tossed at us from different angles, then entering our eyes, nose, mouth and possibly lungs, is fun, right? lol

Btw, I was editing my pictures on PicMonkey as always when I noticed a new feature, hence the background. :p

Cycling Date

Wednesday, September 9, 2015

After so many months of persuasion, kareshi finally reluctantly said yes to a cycling date!

Inside out

Monday, September 7, 2015

If life was indeed like the Pixar's latest movie Inside Out, the control room in my head would probably have created a new core memory for me, comprising of mixed emotions (gold and purpurr ball!) after this morning's event. There's always a first for everything, and I'm glad I aced it :)

Anyway if you have yet to catch the movie, please do and don't forget to pack tissues. Lots of it! No point for guessing correctly who went on a cry fest in the theatre. Hehe. But trust me, based on how much it moved me to tears (swear I heard kareshi sniff a few times lol), the movie is real good so go watch it!

Busy Bee Me

Sunday, September 6, 2015

Sorry for the lack of updates. Been so busy at work!

Last Thursday we had a celebration for Teachers' Day and it was a blast. I was involved in the organising committee this year and it felt so good that everyone loved it and also thanked us personally for the memorable event. Worth all the sweat, pheww~ It was a crazy day for me, running backstage for all three assemblies and later having back to back lessons so pretty much I turned into a walking zombie by the end of the day T_T

That night I traveled all the way to the other side of Singapore for my dear cousin Fiza's  henna night.  I shall save that for another entry, meanwhile here's a shot from our little photoshoot we did some time back.

To the big sister I never have...

A very big congratulations on your wedding! You've no idea about this but I was constantly pouring tears during your solemnization ceremony (and at the same time worrying sick whether my eyeliner was still on fleek after that. Hehe) I'm so happy for you a million words won't suffice to describe how I felt. May Allah bless this marriage of yours and ease all paths for you and your..ehem husband. See you once you're back. Love you!

Syawal in a Nutshell

Sunday, August 2, 2015

My family and I, we didn't get anything new for Raya this year. No new outfits, no new bags no new nothing! We also didn't go out as much, it's the 16th day of Syawal and so far we only visited a grand total of five houses lol.

On the first day, I wore the black jubah my mom bought for me from Madinah.

The only house we visited was my grandparents' and then we're back at home by two and damn it feels soooo good! Watched tv the whole day and eat lepat with rendang, sambal udang and sambal goreng on repeat. You know, basically gaining back all the kgs I've lost in the previous month in just one day T_T

Later that day kareshi came over :D

Ramadhan 1436 H

Monday, July 20, 2015

I am not the only one who feels like the month seems to pass in a blink of an eye, no?

This year's Ramadhan is very different from the ones I'd experienced in previous years. I had my break fast meals at home with my family every single day, except for the two times that I wasn't able to fast and had dinner with the gfs and kareshi instead, which is also the only time that I met him during the whole month. For the first time in my life, I completed the whole terawih! To think of it, I did more terawihs this year than I ever had for the past 24 years of my life combined. I also enjoyed my Quran classes at the mosque. Most of the time I left the class wondering what took me so long to start reading and understanding this holy book.

I mean it's weird now that I find it a pleasure when I can read a Japanese(hiragana+katakana) book but I can't say the same for the Quran urghblearghhhh #messeduppriorities

I'm not proud to say this but I never really understood why people are so eager for this month and sad when it's gone cos it feels like any other month to me. But this year it was a completely 180 degree change for me and I thank Him for allowing me to experience it all. The last night of Ramadhan was a very very emotional one, something that the twenty year old me had never felt before. I'm also not proud of who I was during my pre-hijab days about two years ago but I hope I'll be an improved version of myself from now on.

May we continue to be at the best of iman even after this beautiful month is over. *wipes tears*

Okay, moving on to happier things now! Apart from all these, another highlight of this month is....

Almost There!

Today someone posted on our FB committee page that this time next year, we will be moving in to our new abode already! Gees am I supposed to be excited or mega super duper freaking excited!?

My #1 in the Checklist

Monday, June 29, 2015

I was catching up with a friend who is getting married three months after me and was shocked to find out she has booked everything. From the big stuff like caterer and deco to things like door gifts, bridesmaids outfits and even her wedding shoes, well her checklist is basically complete. Holy moly. How come I don't share the same level of kancheong-ness & dedication for my own wedding preparations like her eh?

So what do I have on the checklist so far?

Deco - Check
Caterer - Check
Andaman - Check
Kompang - Check
Venue - Half-check.
Photographer/Videographer - Check, I think? This one boss wanna settle
Entertainment - Also boss want to settle the kettle
Invitation cards - DIY, me guess

What else?

Oh ok I know. The most important item in the list..........................

Growing Up

Saturday, June 13, 2015

Late last night, Hariz dropped me a text asking me if I'm free to meet him up cos he's feeling down and he needs to talk about it. After insisting that I get the green light from kareshi, he picked me up at my place an hour later. You see, while most girls have to go home by midnight, it is the other way round for me lol

We headed out to our usual spot at Holland Village's Starbucks where he poured his problems and all Lysa and I can do is lend him our listening ears and give our honest feedback. After that he drove around town since he is not in the mood to go back yet. We ordered McD and sang to the songs from Class 95fm to lift the mood up.

Suddenly it dawned upon me.

Come end of next year, there's no such thing as our usual random meetups like this. I don't have the luxury of just showing up at my best friends' place and make myself at home at any time of the day. Or having them to show up at my doorstep when I am bawling my eyes out on bed over stupid life decisions and then make me feel better. It's 4.36am as I'm typing this and I just got back home. Doubt I can still do this once I'm married.

Feels like we're growing up too fast. I was thinking about all this in the car and it makes me so......sad.  :(

Funny how day by day it seems like nothing has changed but when I look back, everything's different.

Just got back from Phuket!!!

Okay I know, I know.. I've said so many times that I'm not going to travel anymore but I can't help it!

Sweet like Sugar

Friday, June 5, 2015

Recently, kareshi got a new bike. A much bigger than the previous one so I don't enjoy being his passenger.

After our date last night, as usual I told him that I would like to take the bus home instead despite his offer to send me by bike. We walked to the bus stop outside Somerset from Wheelock, and the plan is for him to board the bus with me and later drop off outside Royal Plaza on Scotts, where he had his bike parked while I continue with the bus ride home.

Turi Beach Resort

Sunday, May 31, 2015

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

This day last week I was at Turi Beach Resort and today I'm gonna blog all about it!

I guess apart from the fact that Nagoya Mall is a 35 mins drive away($30 cab ride to and fro, boohoo), we love everything about this place. We got the room that's facing the swimming pool, overlooking the beach. There's a jetty nearby which is a perfect place to take 9837384 pictures of ourselves. We had breakfast at one of their restaurants and it was really scrumy yummy in our bellies. How can anyone not love it here?

Oh wait I know who wouldn't. Those who can't live without internet cos surprise surprise..

THERE'S NO FREAKING WI-FI IN THE ROOMS!!!!!!

The Secret Garden of Changdeokbung Palace

Friday, May 22, 2015

My last entry for my Seoul trip!!

On our second last day in Seoul, we stayed at a hanok in Insadong, which is just a ten minutes walk away from one of the most famous palaces in Seoul, the Changdeokgung Palace. Initially I wasn't too keen to visit yet another palace after the Gyeongbokgung Palace but my sister on the other hand insisted that we must add this into our itinerary because of the secret garden that lies behind this palace.

 photo a1_zpszmit8vib.jpg
 photo a0_zps8frrlqwb.jpg
The Secret Garden, also known as Huwon, is such a beautiful place for people who appreciate history and would love to learn more about Korea imperial history. Also it's a heaven for camwhores! Babysis and I don't really belong to the former group of people but obviously we are very much the latter kind of people lol

Venue - (Sort of) Check!

Sunday, May 17, 2015

Since we've decided to do a combined wedding, space is no doubt the most important factor in choosing our venue. Obviously the void deck can't make it to the list. Reason being #1. Space limitation considering the number of guests we're expecting #2 we live on the opposite side of the island so I'd rather save the time. Plus no aircon somemore lol.

Some other considerations before deciding on the venue include its accessibility, whether or not it has ample parking or is cooking &washing on site is allowed and space for our family members to hang out cos I don't want seat hoggers who refuse to let other poor guests who just came have their seat.

Also I prefer NOT to have those MPHs with measurement marks on the floor. Major pet peeve!! My kareshi thought that it's weird. It's not ok! Please, somebody tell me I'm not the only one who thinks it is ugly. -_-

When we first met Uncle Lan from Comel Molek, he suggested a venue which is included in one of their packages. For a price of twenty something K, we will get this venue, decoration and catering provided by CM, free shuttle bus service from Boon Keng MRT, complimentary carpark for 15 guest (there's a multi-storey carpark next to it), complimentary sireh dara and wedding cake, prayer room, groom gets to use a Deluxe room for that day and lastly a two days one night stay with breakfast provided in that hotel.

Sounds good right? Naz and his wife were there with us as well and they too agreed that it's a great deal.

Come I show you some pictures of this place..............

Right after my hot yoga class, I rushed back for a another much awaited event.

 photo a1_zpsmlmsoby1.jpg

Another one of my best friend got engaged!

When Lysa dropped the bombshell about this exciting news last month, our immediate reaction was "yes like FINALLY!?" I mean, her other half and her have been together for soooo~ long. On this special day, a hundred months to be exact, so I guess everyone is just as excited to see this lovebird tying the knot.

Okay so I just googled how many years is equivalent to 100 months. 8 years and 4 months!!!! *gulps*

My Must-Go Places To Eat in KL

Sunday, May 3, 2015

So... the school holiday is almost here (YEEEHAWW)! Knowing how much I love making plans to travel during this period, for the past few days everyone seems to be asking me the same old question.

"Where are you going next?"

If someone were to ask me that question like a year ago, I'd gladly answer with stars in my eyes. Cos seriously I don't remember a time that I don't make travel plans during the school break! But nowadays this question has become my least favourite because you knowww, wedding, house, saving up, priorities bleargh!

Anyway an ex colleague of mine asked me the same question a few days ago (probably like the 50th person already) and I told her maybe I'll just visit JB or KL. To which she replied:

"KL AGAIN? You went there five times last year still wanna go again? KL so boring what do you do there?"

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Excuse mua! KL is so not boring, okay?

Okay okay I admit once upon a time when people tell me they love KL I'd ask the same question too. But ever since my first visit last year I got hooked & I can't stop thinking about all the good food there omg

There's so many things to do in KL and one of it is to have a makan marathon! The one and only ultimate reason why I love love love KL so much and I don't mind making my way here even ten times in a year.

Today I will be sharing my personal must go places to eat while in KL, with pictures taken from my two trips back in November and December last year. I was in KL one week before and a week after my Seoul trip lol.

Well that's how much I love KL yknow?

Caterer - Check!

Friday, April 24, 2015

Few weeks ago, I arranged for a food testing session at Woodlands CC with our numero uno choice for catering services. Since my parents are most concerned (and SO fussy) about this aspect of the wedding, I brought them along. We later found out that my dad is related to the bride's aunt lol what a small world!

So, we first met up with the sales manager Fariq, who briefed us about the different packages they provide and so on. After a what seems like forever Q&A session between my dad and Fariq, we entered the hall and I was in AWE............

Too pretty!

This morning I came across this blog post shared by a friend on Facebook, which I thought was a pretty good read plus I agree to a certain extent to some of the points so shall share a bit of my thoughts about it!

Here, I am sharing only four out of the ten things originally mentioned (HERE) and my comment to each of them is written below.

Finding Halal Food in Itaewon

Thursday, April 16, 2015

I guess my stay in Itaewon is the most memorable as compared to Hongdae and Insadong. Firstly, the hanok that we stayed in is very cosy and so are all the guests in it. For once, we can finally see foreigners, lots of them! So we didn't feel alienated from the locals like how it was in Insadong.

Also because Itaewon holds unforgettable memories for my baby sis and I, like getting lost while looking for the Han River, me meeting Chan oppa after a year of exchanging gifts and emails, late night talks at the rooftop with other guests in the hanok and this :

Well what actually happened was, soon after we checked into the hanok, the host left for lunch. This guy here wanted to tag along but we then realised that we're locked out of the house. I tried calling the host but to no avail so guess what we did?

No prizes for guessing correctly whose idea heheee

Most importantly, I love Itaewon because of the food oh glorious Halal food that are so easy to find!
